late night conjectures

Since getting a television antenna for the tv in my room, i’ve taken to watching quite a bit of late night tv. This has led me to make a conjecture or two about the type of people that must watch late night (non-cable) television (not including myself, of course), based on the commercials I’ve seen.

People who watch late-night television are:

• Desperate. There is a dating hotline advertised literally every other commercial
• Paying too much for internet, cable, and/or phone service
• Hungry. But not just for any food. Burger King. Seriously. No McDonald’s, no Wendy’s, no other food service establishments advertise late at night. Not even like Friday’s or anything.
• “Significantly overweight” (well no wonder if all they eat is Burger King)
• Jobless and want to earn their high school diploma. (and/or an associate’s degree)

But of course, none of those apply to me. Just everybody else watching late-night tv 😛
