i’m excited! and you should be too! *picture edit*
Did you ever do something that you thought was exciting, or have something exciting happen, and you just wanted to tell everyone and anyone just *because*??
Well I sorta feel that way right now, because yesterday I bought two new goldfish (fancy comets) and they are just *soooo* cute and adorable! But of course, there’s nobody on IM to tell!! For those of you that may not know, comets are white with red splotches on them. Anyway, the one has red splotches all over–it makes her look like a cow, so I named her Bessie. Ironically, Bessie is the tiniest one in the tank. (I don’t actually know if the fish is male or female, names are arbitrary) The other one I haven’t named yet, but he/she/it has one big red spot on the top of its head, and one tiny spot just at the base of the tail, and the tail fins are really loooooonnnnggg and flowy (like twice as long as Bessie’s tail).
Anyway, I’m excited by my fish, and you should be too! lol (and maybe help me pick out a name for my other new comet?) Just for reference, not that it matters, the other two big goldfish are named Wally and Mashimaru. Maybe I should try to take a pic of my fishes and post it on here. Yes I’ll do that… pictures will come soon… hold on a few minutes…
*edit* sorries my camera was being dumb, and the fish must’ve realized they were getting their pictures taken, because they were rushing all around the tank showing off. Anyway, here are the pics!! If you don’t have broadband, this may take awhile to download.
okay this first one is not a very close up pic, and when I tried to enlarge it, it just got blurry, but its what Mashimaru looked like before he lost his stripes. It was taken almost 5 months ago, about two or three weeks after I brought him home. He used to have black stripes, on his gold skin–looked like a tiger, it was so cool. I’m thinking its something in their diet that caused the color change (Wally and Mashimaru both had some black coloring that disappeared shortly after switching brands of fishflake), so i’m going to try to experiment with a couple of different ones to hopefully get the color back.
This one is Mashimaru (left) and Wally (right). I can’t believe how good this pic turned out, its so cute!!
These next two pics are Bessie, named so because her spots make her look like a cow, I think. (The lady at the pet store said so too, lol)
The next two are the fish-that-has-yet-to-be-named. He/she would not stay still at all, and it was definately the hardest to take her pic.
And this last one, just because I thought it was funny.. Its Wally and Mashimaru again, but they were moving, so their faces look like the distortion that the people in that movie “The Ring” after they watched the video. LOL if they all turned out like that, I probably wouldnt think it was funny, but this was the only one, so it is funny.
haha I use to have goldfish. How about quirky, that could be a cute name? Cant wait for pics! 🙂

the picture with the two yellow fish facing the camera is cute. I’m not much of a fish person though I used to have them. I like a more tactile kind of pet! 🙂
