vacation? what vacation?? where???

Funny how fast a 9-day vacation goes when you’re doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!  Tomorrow it’s back to school, and books, and tests, and homework, and essays… only 25 more days until Christmas… less than a month until our next vacation.

How is it that when ever there’s no school, I invariably find myself planted in front of the computer, or the television, or a book, for lack of anything else to do; and yet when there *is* school, I never have any time to myself? This week alone I have cheerleading practice on Monday, a doctor’s appt. and a basketball game on Tuesday, more cheerleading practice plus church choir practice on Wednesday, a debate meet and more cheerleading on Thursday, work on Friday, and work on Saturday, after which I’m having a party.  And yet, the entire week we had off, I had NOTHING to do. School typically starts at 7:30 and ends at2:30. That’s 7 whole extra hours that I didn’t have anything to do, for 5 straight days. And do you think any of my teachers gave me homework over the break? of course not… that might make sense… but I’m dreading tomorrow, because I know that every one of them wants to catch up. And did my boss schedule me in the extra time that I had? of COURSE not… again, that might make just too much sense, but of course if they need someone at the last minute, I’m the first one they call. Grrrr… “no, I didn’t have anything else to do, but I really don’t want to rush around at the last minute to go to work when I had intended on basking in nothingness” 

I had a point, but I forget what it was… that happens to me a lot :-/
