Hangovers are bad…

So don’t have one.

I saw Troy last night. It was good. It was very well done without being over the top. There were no out there crazy special effects, but that doesn’t matter. Brad Pitt was phenomonal as Achilles, and Eric Bana also did a great job as Hector. Helen, was beautiful. There would be no other way to describe her. She was portrayed just right, in my opinion. Orlando Bloom was lacking. Definetly not a good performance for him. The character was weak, and so was the acting. His swordplay wasn’t at all impressive either. I was quite glad they put a bow and arrows in his hand near the latter end of the movie, because he needed to do something useful, and that at least is somethnig we know he can do, and do well… elf boy. The epic battle scenes were just that. Epic. The choreography between fighters was fantastic. In my opinion I’d have to say that the battle of all battles was the one fought between Hector and Achilles. The way they moved, the attacks, everything was done so well. This movie will definetly be a family favorite, and I’m sure that all critics will find it as appealing as Idid. But on that note, I don’t think it did so well as to match Lord of The Rings. It pulled just short of hitting that target. As for nominations, one for Brad Pitt, one for Eric Bana, Best Director, and possibly, depending on how this summers venue turns out, Best Picture.

But that’s all just my opinion.

Good opinion. Up there with Siskel and Ebert. 🙂 Seriously though, I’m glad you saw it and liked it enough for it to be considered a favorite. I’m gonna go and see it tomorrow afternoon so I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t wasting away like two hours of my life.
