assassins
lonely callings speak silent whispers upon her flesh…
each hair so aware and ever present of the world spinning with her as the dizziness pulls her body towards the earth she loses herself to the wind caressing her hair, hugging her skin, kissing her lips. the ground suddenly devours her movement, stilling her heart as it races raced pounding at the chest wishing it could rip itself free become something free remember times of freedom with thoughts belonging solely to her and emotions colliding among her limbs as she ran runs away
she holds the weight of the world in her words, feels each needle peircing flesh as it stings just a little prick nothing to be alarmed about only her words have lost their wait and waiting is something she has forgotten how to do. remember cold nights of the winter skies, cold hands seeking warm flesh, did it make you feel alive as it did for her? is it a simple dream made reality turned fantasy consuming infatuation obsession faced duality, see the beady eyes wait for the moment weight for the collapsing inward wait as the dagger lunges in the back. couldn’t have waited until she was looking? how shallow to wait for her eyes to turn, when you couldn’t see the look of agony searing her face, when she couldn’t see the empty gaze from your eyes.
blood and gold sat upon her fingers, simple tears washed her skin burning the flesh from memory
temptation…she reaches for the spot the place you scarred injured her heart her world came crashing down, every night her eyes closed slowly with lure of alcohol induced dreams pill driven to fancies and angels danced within her thoughts until the world came creeping around too close for comfort she remembered too much just rolled over and gave into the night the memory was a dream forgot as the blanket wrapped tightly around her fragile existence. shhhh. she’ll hear you if you’re not careful, quiet, ahhh fuck it, scream in her ears, bring the world back to her now, help her to her feet so you can drag her down…..
Sometimes we have to drag ourselves to our feet, and knock the other guy down. . Words can be very powerful, and instrumental in the changing of hearts and minds, dear Poetess. . Will you stand among the uncounted?
