Hit the Freeway!

I have not stopped playing this song since I discovered it again. 5 times in each sitting at least- around and around, over and over again. There is something about it that reminds me of him. Timothy.

Toni Braxton – Hit the freeway (HQ2 remix).

It reminds me of him, of the friendship that we had and the love we had for each other, the love at the time seemed to transcended everything.

I never thought I’d ever discuss this again, but I was over it a long time ago. I spoke with Drew recently he has since moved to Canada. All has been forgiven and I’ve moved on.

It only took me 5 years.

But that’s what happens when your best friend and boyfriend get together behind your back.

But Tim… that’s different. After all that we’ve never really gone back to the way we were, hell, we’ve not even spoken more than two words to eachother. Granted I’m in Sydney, and he’s in Canberra.

Why am I bringing this all up?

I’m flying down to Melbourne on the Easter long weekend. I’m staying with B and Jamie, and we’re going to explore Melbourne. The one and only time I’ve ever been it was disastrous but I will not get into it here.

Tim is going to be there… and more than anything else in the whole world I want it to be the way it used to be. I miss him so very much.

So basically, Toni Braxton’s “Hit The Freeway” is the modern version of Barbra Streisand’s “the Way We Were”…

It’s so hard losing past relationships, whether they’re with exes, friends or even family. I hope things work out with you and Tim, and I definitely plan to check out miss Braxton’s song.

RYN: The U.S. is the only developed country without some sort of single-payer health care system. Our big insurance companies control Congress and have managed a disinformation policy that’s convinced Americans that a single-payer system is Socialized medicine and people wait for days to get substandard care. Since the Cold War, Americans have been trained to go berserk at the word “Socialism;“ plus Americans have always been cussedly independent and distrustful of government.
