Human effluent. *edit* Cats & Fish

Yesterday morning I woke up extra early, and had Jay (as he was up extra early to go to a meeting) drive me to the train station, that meant I was at work an extra 15 minutes early (which to be, for work purposes – is a long time). On the way to work I stopped in for a coffee. It was busier than usual, I though 15 minutes should be such…

Hang on, why does that matter??

What I’m getting at is, most mornings, after purchasing said coffee, I go to the condiment trolley and add 3 sugars (it’s a big coffee), take two stirrers and swirl vigorously.

NOT this morning, WHY? there was a bum, yes I’m saying it, the politically incorrect term for a dirty, demented, smelly homeless person, he was leaning over the condiment trolley throwing up into the bin where one usually disposes of said coffee stirrers (or Chai stirrers if you’re so inclined).

AND! What’s worse! There were half a dozen people standing in line behind him like it was a cue at the bank, politely ignoring what this miscreant was doing. The staff? either too afraid OR unsure of how to dispose of him.

Why are we becoming tolerant of such things? Are we becoming so exposed to human effluent that we simply don’t notice anymore? or are we becoming so self involved that our world doesn’t extend beyond our own person?

Song for the day: Firefox – Sex Shooter

Here we have some pics that i’ve taken this afternoon of the new editions to our home.

Now some Uber Fishies:

^Ghost Knife with one fo the coloured tailed cat fish (the camera does like taking fast motion pictures) but you can see he has a blue tail, there is a green one around somewhere.

^Tetras.

^Big fat snail.

^Angel One.

^Not sure what this is supposed to be.
<img src="http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s32/tisk01/DSCN0599.jpg" alt=""
^I’m not too sure what that was supposed to be either.

^Eel.

^One of the Silver sharks, he has a buddy swimming around somewhere

^Enother shot of Eel.

^Angel Two.

^Random tank inhabitants.

^Big fish left over from when we had the tank filled with coldwater fish

So they are the kittens and the fish tank.

Keep in mind all the fish are still very small and young, and the Tiger Barbs that we did have in there have been moved to a smaller tank, as we’ve discovered they are not communal fish.’

Below are some very amature videos of the above sujects, I cant find the tripod for the camera so its very shakey, but you get the idea…

~~~Ciao!
Yuck! On the one hand, I feel sorry for the poor guy. On the other, what the hell was he thinking? I think I would have had to have a word or two with the manager of that place and it’s not likely I would ever return.
ewww… I would have thought people over there to be more outspoken? here, people would just keep silent as well,we put up with a lot of things.
That’s disgusting. I’m growing increasingly tired with the crap we’re supposed to tolerate nowadays. Your kittens are adorable. Please ship one to me ASAP as I need to start becoming a crazy cat lady somehow and this seems like a good place to start. That is all.
March 31, 2009
regarding the tramp throwing up in the bin, well thats just foul, but its the city life style approach isn’t it? Ignore your neighbour and he will pay you the same curtosy. You don’t ask people questions, and they won’t ask you any.
haha, a nice start to your day! the term ‘bum’ might be politically incortect, but within the circumstances I think it’s totally justified to use it. Although I was slightly appalled that no one did anything to help this guy or to ask anything of him. It’s not usual for that to happen! Anyway, thanks for your notes! I’ve been slack with my notage. apologies!
