St. Baldrick’s Day
Zaelyna and I went into the Haven last night to get haircuts at the new salon, Jo Bella. Did I tell you guys this story yet? I don’t even remember, and looking back would be an awful lot of *yawn* work on this snowy and very tired morning, so I’ll give you the cliffnotes version
I used to go to Karma Salon to see Katherine for haircuts. Then Katherine got a higher paying job with better hours/money/benefits at Jo Bella and left me. *cries* So I started going to Christy at Karma, who I loved even more than Katherine (who I really love too!). Then Christy left and went to Jo Bella, and took Cassie (another stylist) with her. Lost and confused, and more than a little abandoned, I had no choice but to follow them over.
Jo Bella is nice – it’s in a hotel and it has it’s perks – like guarantee’d parking (valet!) for only $3 (as opposed to scrounging for a spot in the Haven, like I’m used to.) The salon is still cool, though they don’t offer wine (*sad*), they do offer coffee. Christy, Katherine, and Cassie have their chairs next to each other, so the gang’s all there. They’re going to book me for a Slumber Party! Yay! Christy is as awesome as ever, of course, and dealt with the disaster that is my hair. I’ll be stopping back there in 4 weeks for a clean up (bangs, thinning out the ends) and to pass around new catalogs. (Yay!) Zaelyna hadn’t been to a Haven salon before so it was especially fun to have her come with me!!
After our haircuts we went across the street to Black Bear a drink (since our parking was validated for 2 hours!) and for their St. Baldrick’s Day party. It was packed and loud and great! One guy raised $1000 for his mustache! I missed Pip – Pip I think we started something, there were a few girls that were making people dance to pass! I cracked up!!!
If it’s not miserable out tonight I’m heading to see Wired, yay!
