Rhythm Blues
So, I have no rhythm. None. 🙂 I have this work out dvd that’s one of the easy hip hop dance your way thin type things. I really think it will help, if for no other reason than I do the first two minutes in about twenty minutes – the amount of time it takes me to get the steps down. It’s very jumpy and bouncy and all about jumping and bouncing at the right time in the right direction and angles. Turns out, that kind of thing takes pretty good rhythm; getting your heart rate up and looking silly and having a good time while working out, and the time flying by decidedly does not take good rhythm. Cool, hmm?
Also, 10 minutes of hip hop is 2 activity points! Paired with the 1/2 hour of yoga, I earned 3 activity points today! Woot!!
Last night while Hurricane and Stormy were home with Kerriatune, they got into her make up bag (while she was cleaning up from dinner). Hurricane gave Stormy a make over…full with a haircut with her nail scissors, and then each of them took a birth control pill. Needless to say, the bcp pack is now on a shelf far out of their reach behind a locked door. With all the stuff they get in to, they don’t usually do it in the bathroom. Once they brushed their teeth with her toothpaste (as opposed to the kids toothpaste). That’s about it.
Stormy has been a little…hormonal…today. *shakes head* KIDS!

ryn: If you can burn your own CDs you can get a lot of great listens from linrivox. Dickens, Jane Austin, etc. All the old books. Fun mysteries. I find I can’t listen while I’m on a machine because I just can’t here it.

LOL That’s si funny. I’m on the bus and just burst out laughing at the eating of the birth control pills. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to find that funny or not, but I do.

OMG! It never occurred to me that birth control pills should be locked up with the aspirin and cough syrup! I really love Denise Austin, (I think she’s very sincere, and my therapist, who has met her in person, says the same.) I can’t do the videos, though. My trick knee always ends up bugging me for three days. Why can I run like a horse, but not do aerobic videos? I have no idea. Anyway, meant to tell you that I think as long as you’re staying in motion, it doesn’t matter if you can’t get the steps down. (I took dance lessons for ten years of my life, and still just mess up all the steps when I do the videos.)

P.S. I ADORE your daily music quotes. That’s my favorite.
