Be Ye Friend or Be Ye…
…just a random person who dropped by! 🙂
This is how it goes:
1 — Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 — I will respond; I’ll ask you five questions.
3 — You’ll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 — You’ll include this explanation.
5 — You’ll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
Questions by Clanky, answers by Translucide de Dame (aka Luthie, lol)
1. What single thing do you care most about?
It changes. At the moment, my engagement ring. It, like everything in my life, comes with a funny story (involving wine, foot stomping, and much giggling) and is exactly the one I’ve always wanted.
2. If you could snap your fingers and have any profession (money not being a consideration) what would you be?
An author. If I had the time to just spend writing books, editing books, writing more books, I’d do it in a heart beat. There are so many stories floating around up there that get interupted by my work schedule, and everything my job entails. If I didn’t have to have a daily job, I’d just write.
3. If you could drop any one commitment in your life, would you? And if so, what would it be?
Actually, no. I can’t think of a single commitment I wouldn’t sorely miss if it was suddenly gone. I’ve recently become very choosy about what I commit to, and who I commit to. I don’t like doing things that I get anxious about (in a bad way) so I’ve stopped doing them. If it’s really something that is going to disrupt my mental health, I can’t bring myself to commit to doing it. It’s not worth it to me. That being said, I may complain about somethings…work, getting stuck being the only one who will drive to Boston to get Dory, family type obligations, etc, or how busy the Tower keeps me, but I really enjoy them most of the time.
4. What are your five favorite articles of clothing?
My black fleece tech vest, my red Coast Guard hoodie, my silver dressy swoop neck shirt, my Red Sox scarf, my black tank top with the little ruffles on top and buttons in the front.
5. Are you a forward thinker, daydreamer about the past or do you live in the present? Give an example to back up your claim.
As hard as I try to be a forward thinking, I think I very much live in the present. I am impulsive – I will eat it if it sounds good now (even though I’ll regret it at Weigh In day! lol), and I’m an impulse shopper too. I also tend to say what’s on my mind, though I’ve gotten better…and you know what? It’s also how I wind up with so many characters on the Tower!! The living in the present is a good thing though – I’m over the past, it’s happened, some of it is wonderful, some of it wasn’t pretty, but it made me who I am. I try to think how things will effect my future, I really do, and I’ve gotten bigger at it for those ‘life changing moments’…I don’t know, is it because I live in the present that I’ve gotten good at recognizing those moments at the time, and not needing to say "well, in retrospect…" as often? Hmm.
I love this!
