halfway thru January

…thank goodness!  The sooner winter ends, the sooner I can enjoy warm temperatures again.  I can NOT wait.

So I have nixed my idea of going back to school to be a registered dietician.  I realized it’s much too much schooling & I really don’t want to take all those science classes.  I was never good at science, it’s just not my strong point.  Instead I decided to take the postal workers exam & try to become a mail woman.  I should be getting the paperwork with the test date in another week or 2 (we all know how slow the government works).  I took out some books from the library on the 473 test & for the most part it’s pretty easy, except for the memorization part.  But whatever, I will give it my best shot.  Even if I ace the test, it usually still takes a while to be called for an interview.  Then if I do get a job, I will have to start at the bottom, meaning no set schedule & no set route.  Ce la vie, I need to do something more than this admin crap.

The part-time job I just started SUCKS & I will be quitting this Friday (if I can even make it that long – I already called in sick yesterday cuz I didn’t wanna go lol).  Thankfully I do have some money stashed away in the bank, but it won’t last too long w/ my car payments/insurance & $300 a month for cobra.  I will have to figure something out, cross your fingers for me!

Things w/ Chris & I have been improving over the past few weeks.  I’ve actually been in a better mood since Jan 1, for no concrete reason.  But I’m not complaining & neither is he of course!  I’m just doing my best to try to keep a positive attitude about things, which is a foreign concept for me as most of you know!

I have lost a few pounds since starting back on weight watchers last Monday.  I’m pretty excited about that.  Now all I have to do is drag my ass back to the gym, tho the cold temperatures we’ve been having do NOT motivate me to leave the house for anything, much less to go work out.  I did however order an ab lounge off ebay a few days ago, maybe I can work on using that while I watch my abc soaps every afternoon!

That’s about all I have for now, I hope everyone is having a good 2008 so far!  🙂

I love ebay, it’s freaking awesome and you can find anything on there. Congrats on the weight loss. I’m glad things with you and Chris are better. As for the new job, that’s too bad that you are quitting so soon. Why does it suck so bad? Good luck on the postal worker exam. That would be an ok job because it keeps you active and you get to be outside (although it will suck a bit on cold/rainy

days). When I worked in the lab this past summer my job was really physical and I lost so much weight. Plus I enjoyed the physical aspect. It gave me more energy and I was able to keep pretty alert.

I am glad that you are doing better. Most of how you feel is within your control you control how you react and what comes out of your mouth. Its hard to be positive, believe me I know. I call myself a realist, but really I am just a negative nancy myself. Anyway, when ur positive and try to accept things relationships tend to work better.
