you can’t hurry love

            So last Thursday night I hung out w/ Kerry’s friend Chris. I actually met him a few months ago, the night Kerry made me kiss K to get a drink (I can’t remember if I wrote about that or not). When Kerry 1st suggested setting me up w/ Chris, I was kinda wary about it b/c I knew he’d liked her a few months ago & they also kissed right in front of me. She assured me that they only made out b/c they were drunk & that it had meant nothing & that he doesn’t like her anymore. So I figured it wouldn’t hurt to just hang out w/ him once & see what happened.
 
            I was at the bar w/ Kalie & the boys from 8:00 on, & Kerry showed up w/ her b/f, Chris & a few other people around 9. At 1st I was too nervous to go over & say hello to him, which was weird b/c I’d been drinking & that usually helps me feel more outgoing. But I finally sucked it up & went over after a few minutes, cuz my sister’s friend D kept telling me that she saw him looking over at me. 
 
            I said hello to him & we started chatting right away, he was very nice & made me feel totally comfortable. We sat at a booth right next to Kerry & her friends, & then Kerry came over & told me that her friends wanted to leave & go to a different bar. I didn’t wanna leave cuz the bar we were at is less than 5 min from my house & I’d already had a few glasses of wine. Chris didn’t seem like he wanted to leave either, so the 2 of us ended up staying.
 
            So Chris & I just sat there talking for a while which was nice. The boys eventually left so Kalie & my sister came & sat w/ us. Kalie left soon after… & then Brian came in w/ a few of his friends. My sister tells me that he said hello to us but he kinda sounded weird (surprised maybe?), but I was really trashed so I don’t remember that at all. A few minutes later my sister left, & soon after that Chris suggested that we leave too.
 
            We were standing in the parking lot next to his car, & then he decided to put some music on. He said we should dance, so I drunkly swayed as he held onto me. Then he kissed me, so we stood outside his car making out for a while. A few min later I heard voices so I turned my head & saw 2 of Brian’s friends walking by. Then I turned back to Chris & we were just standing there, REAL close to each other. A min later I heard a voice say “good-night guys”. It was Brian of course.
 
            I didn’t turn my head to look at him at all, I just said goodnight back (& so did Chris, even tho I didn’t introduce them obviously, heh) & kept looking at Chris. I wish I *had* looked at him tho, just to see if he’d had an expression on his face, but oh well. A few min later Chris said “you wouldn’t want to get in my car, would you?” in this sweet I hope I’m not pushing it tone. I said sure so we got in & then continued kissing.
                                                                                                                           
            We made out for a LONG time, I’m not sure exactly how long cuz I don’t remember what time we left the bar. But when we finally decided it was time to go home, it was almost 2:30 a.m. He asked me for my phone # so I gave it to him, & he said he’d call me Sunday night. Then he walked me to my car (cuz I was still pretty trashed) & asked me a buncha times if I was OK to drive. I yessed him to death so he finally said goodnight & I went home (& passed out).
 
            Friday morning I called my boss & told him I wasn’t feeling well & I’d be in late. I think I mighta been still drunk when I woke up at 7 a.m., & I knew there was NO way I’d be able to handle a whole day of work on 4 hrs sleep. Then Friday night I stayed in & cleaned my room & Saturday night I went to see “The Last Kiss” w/ Kalie, my sister & her friend D. Then Sunday night my sister & I decided to go to the bar, which is kinda our new Sun night ritual now heh. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my cellphone rang. It was Chris.
 
            We bullshitted for a few minutes, & then he said “so I was wondering if you might wanna do something sometime?” I thought it was really cute cuz he sounded a little bit nervous. I said sure so he asked me what night was good for me & I said I was free any night. He said “well you usually go to the bar on Thursdays right? So how bout Wednesday?” I said that was cool, so he said he’d call me on Tuesday to decide what exactly we would to do.

            So my sister went inside & Brian was there, but he didn’t make any effort to say hello so neither did we.  We had a few drinks & then she wanted to leave so I told her to go & I’d be not far behind her. I went up to the bar to pay the tab & I stood next to Brian ‘cuz there was no one else on that side. We said hello & talked for a few about random bullshit.  He didn’t mention anything about Chris & neither did I. I left a few min later, & that was that.
 
            Chris did call me Tuesday & we did hang out last night, but this entry is long so I’m gonna save that story for next time (sorry, I know how some of my favorite readers HATE when I do that!!!!). Happy weekend!!!!!!!!
