CHAPTER 10. THE TOWER

The boy approached the tall tower, looking up at its ominous dark walls with no windows and ivy vines growing up the base. He looked at it with determination, and charged in through the large oak doors, blade drawn, starting up the tall, marble spiral staircase. It was a long climb, and it was silent. The boy could hear nothing but his own footsteps. He stopped only for a second to catch his breath and check how close he was to his destination. When the boy looked up, the spiraling staircase went on for a while longer, He had no choice but to keep running. Just when the boy was starting to get tired again, a orange portal appeared in front of him, and the boy ran straight into it.

The boy appeared at the top of the staircase. Not exactly complaining, but all the more, puzzled. In front of him was a very large set of mahogany doors. The boy took a determined stance with his weapon and walked forward and opened the door.
