First choir night

First choir practice tonight. Wow… what a rush.

Last year we had finished up the year with about 40 of us. Already this year we’re over 70, it’s a completely different feeling.

Definitely was a whole different aspect of things than my first day last year. Walking in and knowing what felt like most of the people. Catching up, talking with the new members. I actually have two girls that I’m ‘mentoring’. They gave me the two that are anglophone. Seeing as I’m probably the one best suited to play translator. One of the girls will do just fine, the other didn’t show tonight, so I’ll see next time I guess.

It was so nice to see some of them again. My friend Maude has decided to come back this year, so I’m excited as we were the two trouble makers at the beginning of last year until she had to quit due to work obligations, so having her back just feels right. A few other people that were ‘associate’ members so to speak have also joined us, so it’s nice to see them more often too.

The first song went well, people seemed to catch on quickly.

After the practice, we usually go out to grab a beer… I have NEVER seen so many people there at one time, there was easily over 30 of us, and usually we’re only about 15 at the most. Sorted some stuff out, I already know who’s going to be in my room for the musical camp… which is a switch up from last year when I didn’t know anyone, and we’re going to be the fun room!!!

The rides home are going to be a blast too, because there’s going to be 5 of us jammed into a little car, and all of us are friends.

All in all, I’m quite happy about the turnout.

Sounds pretty cool….Ty for your note…I am excited!

70 people? Wow that’s a pretty big group. It’s fun to do things as a collective. RYN: What did you use to do a cleanse? I’ve never done it before but I want to try. Yes I can imagine it’s tough to work around a hospital schedule.
