first ‘real’ party

I went to my first “real” party tonight. A “real” party is one that serves alcohol. (grins) Most of the world would consider me a major loser for never having gone to one before – I consider it a mark of pride. I don’t need alcohol to have fun and neither do my friends. Tonight was different though – I knew only one person at this party aside from Matt and I was only there for 45 minutes. The party was a 21st birthday party for one of Matt’s “friends” from high school. His name is Davey. He lives in a really nice apartment with his girlfriend Ingrid – Ingrid who looks to be from a Hispanic-White background. (I mention that cause Ingrid isn’t a name you hear all too-often today.) Anyway, he was really nice – he has one of those genuine smiles that you see all-too rarely today. The other person that I knew at this party was Sean, Matt’s best friend whom I’ve mentioned before. Everyone else was from Matt’s high school… and they were all a bunch of losers, including Davey, I have to admit. A few were kinda red-neckish… and nothing really happened. It was kinda boring… we were listening to some of Davey’s favorite music and watching the Alabama-Auburn game. That’s another thing that I’ve never done – watch college football. It’s alright I guess – not too exciting, however.

Now I’m back at Matt’s house. He dropped me off before going to see his other best friend, David. I chose not to go so I could do some homework… I’m trying my best not to call him and tell him to “come home!” but it has been nearly 3 hours…. I mean, c’mon… (grins)

I’m not really doing homework anymore. It’s too late.
