I am a great boyfriend…because that is what my girlfriend says
I am a great son…because that is what my parents say
I am a great friend…because that is what my friends say
I am a writer…because that is what my writting says
I am able to loose weight while i sleep…because that is what the informercials say
I am fat…because that is what every single magazine tells me
I am a genius…because the world is filled with so much stupidity
I am stupid…because the world is filled with too many geniuses
I am a drone…because television makes me that
I am a leader…because i can turn the t.v. off
I am happy…because i’m not emo
I am emo…because sometimes im just not happy
I am a minority…because that is what the application to the university said i was
I am a majority…because i live in a border city overrun by my own kind
I am a dog lover…because i hate cats
I am a cat lover…because my girlfriend owns one
I am a listener…because i surround myself with music
I am a speaker…because when i speak, people listen.

My whole life can be defined from everything else around me,
every single action can have its reaction and every single act can have an explanation,
this life of ours is more than just an illusion we have,
its a fantasy that we have made reality,
we are perfect, because we can be,
and we are overrun by flaws, because we choose to be.
