Internet, Job, Money, Stuff.

I had been hoping that I would somehow be able to pick up some unsecured wifi network in the neighborhood, as it is pretty populated with people and business, but that has proved to not have been the case. Part of me is upset and another part of me is actually okay with that, I still have my phone to get online, but I won’t be spending too much time frying my brain on the internet when I have a lot of time on my hands.

Johnny isn’t living with me, and probably won’t be until August. He’s been spending every other night with me. Naturally, I’m upset about that, but it will actually be beneficial on my part. Honestly, I have never lived on my own, relied on nobody but myself, and been entirely independent. This could be a really good thing for me, and us as a couple.

I had a job interview today. Honestly, I’ve never been more nervous, but I gave it my best shot. I’ve been emailing the director back and for for the last 2 1/2 months, and we had set up the job interview before I had even set foot back in the state, but I was seriously uneasy about the interview. Well, things went incredibly well, much better than I could have even hoped.
Upon walking into the center, I was prompted to fill out an application. Once that was filled out, she gave me a tour of the center. Let me tell you, that daycare center is gorgeous. It’s clean, tidy, colorful, new, big… It’s awesome. I was introduced to the teachers who were in their classrooms (some were outside with the children), and saw some of the kids playing and such. In the last classroom, though, was a woman that I worked for previously in another center. She used to be the assistant director, but now she was a preschool teacher. I LOVE HER, she’s the sweetest lady ever, and was like a second mom to me. She told the director that I’m a good pick, and that she should hire me. Friday I go back in to spend some time in the classroom and see how I fit, I should know if I get the job then. She gave me the background check form already, so I think it’s safe to say that I’m probably going to work that. PLUS! I’ll be making $9-$9.50 an hour (which is more than I asked for at $8.75-$9). I’ll be a LEAD teacher for the 3-year-olds, which means I’ll have my own classroom, too! I’m thrilled.

Things are going pretty well out here. The only thing is, I need to find an apartment for August ASAP. *fingers crossed*

I’ll update again soon.
