Disheartening.
So, the whole ordeal with the cop and my sister (read, one entry back) seemed to have no effect on my sister… Or, maybe she really is just a complete moron.
Yesterday, my dad met with the principal, assistant principal, attendance officer, a police officer, two guidance counselors, my sister, and who knows who else… Anyway, after I got home from work, I asked him how it went… He seemed hopeful, saying that they figured some stuff out.
So, get this, there’s a ticket in the mail. I guess they’re leaving it open for now, but my sister absolutely CANNOT miss another day of school. My dad can’t even call her in if she’s sick. My sister knows this, so it’s a really good thing. However, if this makes it to the county sherriff, instead of just staying here in the town, they will both be receiving $700 tickets. EACH. So, that bring it to $1,500 total. Ugh.
I came home from work last night to find that my sister wasn’t home, which is completely normal, but my dad said she was supposed to be home at some point. Great. Well, my dad went to bed at around 8:30, so I expected my sister home shortly after that.
Time goes on, and on, and on. Before I know it, it is nearly 11pm, and no sign of my sister. At all. So, I go downstairs and ask my dad where she is. He called her, being unaware of the time, and was incredibly shocked to find out that my sister wasn’t even home. Apparently, she was stranded in Milwaukee (AGAIN, this happened last weekend, too. Milwaukee is almost an hour away, too.) and didn’t have a ride home. My dad got pissed. I didn’t know what his plan was, and me being his daughter – I don’t have any say in what’s going on, so I just went to sleep.
But, at that point I was thinking, she didn’t even make it one day after the meeting. She must really not care at all. It’s very disheartening because I thought everything was going to get at least a little bit better with her.
This morning, I woke up to find my dad getting ready for work. It was early, so I thought he had to work early again. Nope! He was driving to Milwaukee to get my sister so she would be able to go to school on time! That was a good call on his part. My sister didn’t even seem crabby this morning, either.
I don’t know what to expect with my sister. I don’t know what’s going through her head, especially because she refuses to talk to anyone about anything. This girl is FIFTEEN years old. She’s a freshman! She doesn’t even realize that she’s throwing her life away…

Last night I picked up a Miche big bag with 3 shells. I bought them from a lady that put an ad on craigslist. For everything, I paid $50. Seriously, it was the best purchase. I love it SO much! Tomorrow I’m picking up 5 more shells from another lady. Once again, $50. She’s also including 3 sets of the charms for $5. So, so excited! – Total, for everything that I’m going to have, I spent $105. It’s quite a bit of money, yes, but for the base bag and one shell – I was going to spend nearly $80, so this is definitely a good way to start my collection! =D

I’m SO glad that it’s Friday. This week has been crazy at work, even though the number of kids has gone down due to illnesses. It’s been crazy because of how BORED I’ve been.
I’ve also developed a cough, probably contracted it from the germ-infested children at work. Until today, I could feel fluid in my lungs, but nothing would come up. It was stubborn. This morning, however, I woke up with my throat hurting a bit, and now I’m coughing stuff up. Yay!
There’s a case of strep that has been reported at work. Oh, strep AND scarlett fever. Oh the joys of day care.
I am SO glad that I haven’t gotten the flu shot, either. There was a study done, and it’s been shown that the flu shot doesn’t even protect you against anything. At all.
Plus, every single time I get the flu shot, I get really, really sick. Like, bed-ridden sick. So, I’m not going to get it. Ever.
Besides, I’m on a probiotic now, and that regulates my digestive system and strengthens my immune system. I should be good this winter. =D
Tomorrow morning I’m waking up SUPER early to go and take a COMPASS reading exam. Then, on Tuesday, I’m going to enroll myself into this CNA course. I’ll start in January!
I’m excited. I’m happy where my life is going and how everything is going, for once.
Next entry, I’ll update on how Johnny and I are doing. =D
