This is how some people make me feel…in my family especially…:

The feelings of inadequacy

that surface in your mind

and are confirmed

by those who claim to care

are like waves that crash against

the jagged rocks

eroding, wearing them down

unintentional, yet unstoppable…

And it hurts so damn much…
