Forget Waldo… [Short audio clip]

They came to Lee

They packed out the house.  SOLD OUT show.  I ended up being about 45 minutes late because I had been at an at-home party (where I bought a couple of very yummy marinades/sauces/dips).  Anyway, they rocked the house.  I took a little bit of video with my camera, but it’s not as good as that audioclip – which was totally worth it.

I got a couple pictures too.  Dude, these guys don’t look anything like the guys we grew up watching on the gameshow.  I mean, it was them, but…well, then again, what did I expect?  It’s been ten?  Fifteen years?  And…and, I didn’t know this, but did you know they became the official spokes-singers for Folgers shortly after their stint on the gameshow?  Yeah, me neither.

They’re pretty famous these days as actual performers, traveling the country/world and doing their doo-wop thing.  They were really good, and quite hilarious, too.  Glad I didn’t miss it.

And, being the Lee student that I am, my ticket was free.  Sometimes it pays to go to small liberal arts Universities in the South.

(This is where I’d put a picture in, but right now I’m just too lazy to do the whole photobucket thing.  Besides, this was already a multimedia presentation, what with that clip up there and all…)

Soundtrack for my life:  The little dinging thingy whenever someone IM’s me.

Rockapella, right? They are great! I have a couple of CDs from another acapella group, The Nylons, that used to be really good too. But, the line-up has changed over the years, and I’m not sure that they’re as good as they used to be.
