chanting
The thing that gets me about all this crap at work is I have done nothing wrong, but they are trying to make me feel like I am a bad teacher… they almost got me until I received a wonderful, wonderful letter from a student who recently graduated and now wants to become a teacher. A part of his letter is below.
"you’ve made a good impact in mine. Teachers that care about their students inspire their students to strive for better things in life, they open up their eyes and minds to endless possibilities. When I thought about you teaching I noticed that it was not only the students that were learning but it was also you. You learned of different perspectives and you learned more about human nature itself and diversity of thought ( I found that extremely interesting). So thank you Ms. for carring about us students, it kinda reminds me of the movie Stand and Deliver and Dangerous Minds. You did your best to teach us, what I would consider the " untouchables" in todays society."
On to other news, a fellow teacher saw my distress and wanted me to change my karma. She gave me a buddhist chant and has invited me to a meeting. I have been chanting for several days and feel that it is helping calm my soul. I am interested in learning more and opening myself up to positive experiences. I deserve to be happy.
Also, I have decided that I want to work with disadvantage kids… the one’s in jeopardy of failing in the system. I love the challenge of trying to get them to open up and see the power they have. I will be looking for a school that can help me acheive this goal.
So, here’s to not being stressed and allowing positive into my life.
I will win this!!!
Man what a morale boost! And it couldn’t have come at a better time. I have a lot of respect for you. =)

That’s great! No better timing to get that letter! What is going on with our system!? I for one, very much appreciate those teachers that are advocates for the kids.
