Sore eyes

Today… ehh, I have a headache from watching lots of crap online. Movies, tv shows, cartoons. Gah, I feel like a big ol’ lazy blob with strained eyeballs. There was about a half hour that had a very high concentration of productivity though, where I managed to make an appt to get my haircut (I haven’t had one since CHRISTMAS), made an appt at Planned Parenthood for my yearly exam and to renew my birth control prescription (which I feel weird about since I’m not in a relationship… but I’ve been on BC for 2 years and I guess my body is used to it), made my car payment, and.. well, that’s it.

Paul called today. He phoned me from an internet cafe for a few minutes, which wasn’t too terribly expensive. He seems to be doing really well and having a ridiculously good time. He even said he misses me. Yes, boys are trouble. He isn’t confusing, but my emotional reaction to him is. Lame! It seems like I write in OD so much when Paul and I can’t talk.

Is it reasonable to start packing/sorting your crap 7 weeks before you relocate a couple of thousand miles from where you currently are? My habit is to do everything last minute, shoving stuff into boxes that are bursting at the seams, and it’d be nice to have someone tell me to start the process now.

My OD Plus subscription ran out. I have a tip: If you don’t want your subscription to run out, never log out of OD. I think mine would have expired several days ago, but I never logged out. Classy. Anyway, I logged in today and couldn’t deal with all of the advertisements and only being able to write 400 (or whatever number) character notes, so I renewed my subscription. This isn’t exciting, but it was part of my day.

It’s 95 degrees in San Jose right now. People keep telling me it’s not supposed to get this hot around here, but it KEEPS HAPPENING! And it’s supposed to be over 100 this following week. I think people are lying to me because it definitely is HOT. Hopefully they won’t try to make us plant some trees at work.
