Lazy Sunday

So it’s the third day of my 4-day weekend. It has been relatively relaxing and I’m glad to have some time away! I mean, sitting in the house is away as far as work is concerned. It’s also been nice to have the house to myself because I can do whatever I want! This really just involves watching tv, attempting to actually cook dinner, and peeing with the door open. Classy!

Yesterday was probably the most "productive" day I’ve had this weekend. I woke up around 630am (this is just something I do now, for some reason) and managed to finish my paperwork for the Rochester program. I actually mailed it in too! I know you are impressed.

So I guess this doesn’t mean my decision to move to Rochester is final; I just wanted to have my spot saved but can always say no if I decide not to go. The "paperwork" I had to fill out was a member profile, describing myself and my interests (including why I’m interested in certain types of service placements) so they can pass it on to all of the possible service sites in Rochester. I finally managed to articulate everything in a way I felt comfortable with. I just sat down and typed it out after a few weeks of not being able to think of how to say it. This is just the way my brain works with paper writing I guess, and I did much better in college writing papers last minute.

Anyway, blah, enough about that. I sent it in, so I should be put in contact with other members so we can try to arrange housing. Also the service sites for next year will be finalized soon, so I’ll get to see what they are and contact the supervisors if I feel like it.

But yeah, enough of that FOR REALS this time.

Yesterday was also productive because I managed to have some social time. Carie and Bo came over, and Bo took us to a plant nursery because she has some landscaping gig and was trying to find all sorts of pretty plants. I’m not really into landscaping or plants at all, but it was an okay time because I really DO like touching everything! A lot of them felt so awesome. Weird I know, and I must have looked pretty strange going around squeezing plants and such. Come on, I had to entertain myself somehow!

If Bo decides to do her landscaping thing before I leave she said I can be her helper, and she’ll give me $100-$200. I told her I was DEFINITELY interested, especially since I’ll be moving soon.

After we got back from the nursery we just came back and hung out. Carie had to leave to wash her grandma’s car (woo!) so Bo and I watched Animal Cops: Houston for like… pfft… 3 hours or something! That show is so hard to turn away from once you start watching it. I know when I’m at home my mom and I will sometimes watch it for hours. It’s terrible because right when the episode ends another one starts. But yeah, it was fun!

After she left I headed to the store to get supplies for my favorite meal in the entire universe…TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE! I made that and ended up falling asleep around 10pm or so. As usual I woke up a few times throughout the night and woke up again (and stayed awake) at 630am. This is how my sleep schedule usually goes, but I end up feeling surprisingly well rested.

The staff at OCF has been trying to suck up to us lately I guess. Thursday they ordered us pizza, made popcorn, brought candy and let us watch a movie. It was pretty fun, even though the pizza was a little gross and we ended up watching "Zoolander". Whatevs, beggars can’t be choosers!

Well, I’m going to go finish my tea.
