Mostly work stuff

I guess it has been a long time since I’ve written. I’m pretty tired right now though so this entry won’t be as extravagant and poetic as usual.

Umm.. so yeah, I’ve been working a lot. I’m doing a tiny, mini little school planting next Wednesday. It’s only 2 trees and I’ll be working with kids and whatnot. People who know me know how much I like children. Okay, so honestly kids aren’t that bad. I just don’t have a lot of energy, and I guess I see a lot of adults interacting with kids in a super energetic and crazy way and relate that crazy energy with working with children. Does this make sense? I just act like my usual awkward self and kids seem to respond well.

So yes, there’s the school planting. I also have enough requests to do my neighborhood planting, which will be April 26th. I have 13 trees at 10 houses which isn’t terrible, but I wish I could have gotten more. I guess it’s pretty good considering I had to go door to door for a week or so, trying to convince people to get trees from us. I’m glad I’ve gotten all of this grassroots experience though and actually think doorknocking is pretty fun.

Tomorrow I have to be in at 730 to help with someone else’s neighborhood planting. Not looking forward to it because I’ve never participated in a neighborhood planting before. I’ll be in charge of one section, as well as a few volunteers, but I’m sure everything will turn out fine.

Okay, enough about work. I’ve been applying to jobs like crazy and will keep you updated if anything pans out.

I’m currently searching for a new crush. Applications are being accepted. One of the girls from work is going to throw me a birthday party and cute boys will supposedly be invited. We’ll see though, I’m not really getting my hopes up in any shape or fashion. Oh yeah, by the way, it’s almost my birthday. The big 2-3! Eep.

I rode my bike to work this morning with a few other people. It’s about 4 miles to and from work, so I suppose it was a pretty good workout. I guess I need to bike more so I’m not so tired when we reach work in the morning. It is a good stress reliever to bike back from work in the afternoon though.

Dinner: Pizza with the grandparents, Meghan and Karoline, and some of Meghan’s cousins. I have indigestion from the pizza, I don’t really eat it very often and my internal organs are pretty angry with me.

I’ve been having a hard time sleeping lately. Oh, Paul is well. He has decided to attend grad school in Washington, DC. I’m pretty jealous because I think DC is a pretty glamorous place. I’ve only been there once to attend a huge protest a few years back and didn’t have any time to do sightseeing then. ::sigh:: Maybe I’ll be able to visit him there and he’ll take me out on the town.

Okay, gotta go. Hopefully I’ll go to sleep early-ish tonight.

Some guy at work the other day was talking about how he bikes 20 miles over the weekend a lot. And he does it in about an hour. gah! Crushes are the best. In fact, I often like them more than actual relationships, so good luck with your crush quest.

Weeeee, happy birthday! If I knew boys in the area of a suitable age and relationship status and geographic area to be your crush I’d give them applications for you. Stress relief is always good, especially via exercise. Free the endorphins! Hope you got some sleep, hon. *hugs*
