Update, lots of pics

Sorry for not updating in a timely manner! So yes, I survived the trip back to San Jose. I was pretty bummed the first day or two back, but I’m getting back into the work routine again. I had a really good time in Indiana and am glad I got to go… it’s good to be in a place where I feel at home and comfortable with the people. I did miss the city though and all of the opportunities (and variety!) it offers.

Anyway, work has been work. I’m glad to be getting back into the routine again and like having some sense of responsibility. Yesterday Carie and I did a planting at a senior citizen’s site with members of City Hall. It was okay, though they seemed more interested in photo-ops than actually doing the work. So it goes. They were nice people at least!

Today I did some work on the neighborhood planting I am supposed to coordinate with my partner. We found a fw streets that can definitely use some trees, so hopefully we’ll be able to figure something out. This is a long process though and I won’t bore you with the details right now. Today I also got to ride around in a truck with Matt and Karoline for a few hours and make sure people planted their trees correctly. This was a lot of fun and really made me grateful for the job I have. OCF is also constructing a parade float for the local Vietnamese festival parade thing, so I spent some time tearing apart colored napkins to serve as tissue paper (they were 3-ply, you know? So we had to separate the layers).

Things with Ian are confusing again. He really is crazy about me, more so than I had previously imagined. I also know he’s willing to do whatever he can to make me happy, and wants to commit himself to me completely. I must have some crazy bitchin’ hormones that men pick up on that completely drives them bonkers. Jeesh.

I have an embarrasing story about a potential romantic interest gone terribly awry, but I don’t have the energy to post it right now. Maybe I’ll get to it later… but maybe not.

Anyway, PICTURES!

Me, Renee, Tami and Autumn got matching shirts that say "One Piece of a Foursome Pie".

The backs of the shirts. Rat Pie, Milk Pie, Peace Pie and Dino Pie, respectively.

Autumn and I lovin’ on some bread during the party at Chad’s house in my honor!

Renee, me and Autumn at the same party. Damn drunkards taking crooked pictures!

Autumn, Tony, me, Chad. I delivered pizzas with Chad for 2 years. Tony worked at Pizza Hut for awhile too, but he had hair the last time I saw him. It was a pretty shocking change, and he is now able to make creepy ass faces like this:

Yeah, creepy…

Autumn and I rockin’ out on Guitar Hero. Okay, next are a few pictures from hanging out at Renee’s boyfriend’s place.

(Up there is my mugshot, I think)

We’ve decided here that Autumn looks like a giant, and I am a small, small person laying my head on her shoulder.

Classy!

Oh, this is when we all went out to Sushi. It was sooo awesome.

Anyway, that’s enough of that for now. I’m kindof tired though… we have a big ol’ tree planting at a school tomorrow and will all be in charge of a certain number of trees and juvenile delinquents. Sorry I’ve been a terrible noter lately! I promise to catch up… sometime. I do still read though!

You are so incredibly cute. I was initially confused about the backs of the shirts though. “Rat milk? Huh?”
