Picture heavy

Today we had our big ol’ meeting, did tons of office work, had a Spanish lesson (involving Pictionary, heh) and wasted time watching SNL Celebrity Jeopardy. I love it so much. Sooo much.

Tomorrow we have to be to the city convention center by ::gulp:: 630am. As Americorps members we get "volunteered" to do all sorts of things, and tomorrow we are working at the Mayor’s State of the City Address breakfast thingy. Over 1,000 people are supposed to show up and we are basically supposed to do whatever they tell us (mainly telling people where to sit, passing out seedlings and telling people about OCF). It should be cool and I’m sure lots of important people will be there, but it will be a really long day. At least they are feeding us.

I kindof talked to Paul last night, by the way. I think I overreact a little when I witness people being mean… basically, I never see them quite the same way again. ::sigh:: He is still a cool dude though. Oh well.

My friend from college, Jamie, recently found a lot of old pictures on her laptop. Here they are.

My roommate Thea and I had a mailbox made out of a tampon box our Sophomore year. Here I am checkin’ the mail. That’s back when we were semi-popular and actually had people who cared about leaving us mail in a tampon box.

This is a picture my friend Maggie took. It’s a billboard in Chicago and we were there for the Matthew Shephard march in 2004. That "pose" is my best attempt at being flirtatious. I’m not a natural.

Me and Thea dressed up for our campus drag show our junior year. Out outfits are kindof matching because 1) we thought it was a good idea, and 2) we were presenting an award together for "Best Seniors" or something like that. Bow-ties are awesome. This was the good picture.

…and this is the awkward picture.

This is us on stage. I just wanted to post it because I love how high our pants are.

Me, Abby, Thea. This is at a dinner where we were celebrating the engagement of 2 of my lesbian friends. This was a good night. I look like I have to pee. (Biaggi’s!)

This is me, Jamie and Maggie sophomore year. We were going for something here… something artistic and conceptual, I’m sure.

Thea, me and Andrea FRESHMAN year. This is at the Peace Studies vs. Accounting basketball game. I was a Peace Studies major, so it was my duty to cheer on the Peace Studies team (we lost… horrendously). There were 15-20 of us that were Radical Cheerleaders that night (look ’em up if you haven’t heard of them)

This was one day over the summer (before my junior year in college) that Jamie, Maggie and I decided to go to the mall. I thought this jacket was ridiculous. I look pregnant with patriotism. =(

This is me and Meghan from our sushi night on Saturday. It isn’t a terribly flattering picture, but I am impressed with my ability to look like Squidward (sp?) from Spongebob Squarepants. I’m trying to look weird at least. Oh, I’m also posting it because THERE IS A CREEPY ASS REFLECTION OF A FACE IN THE WINDOW AHHHHH

That is enough pictures for one day. I’ll end this entry for now and hope it saves.

Oh, thanks for the notes on my entry yesterday. I won’t become the kind of chick that constantly complains about some guy, so don’t worry. It’s good to know you all are so awesome though.

Wow, you had such good times at Manchester! I did too whenever I visted you! I’m glad you and Paul talked. It sounded like he was trying to distance you from him due to the uncertain future. Still it never feels good to be accused of sleeping around when you’ve been perfectly honest. I hope you like the sushi! We should get some in Asakusa! 🙂

Hey, you’re not wearing “flair” in the picture w/ the suspenders. It reminds of the movie Office Space. Have a good time at the big event.
