Nervous***

I’m kindof bummed because neither of the places I interviewed at called me back (even though they said they’d call about the mental health worker position whether they decided to hire me or not. Harumph.) I didn’t do much this weekend except hang out with Paul. Yesterday we went to some pretty bitchin’ vegetarian restaurant, and went to several different coffee houses to find a place to hang out (man, they were all so crowded!). It has been pretty hot around here lately (over 100 degrees each day), so I guess any air condtioned building has been extremely popular.

We watched a Russian movie yesterday called The Return. It’s good, but just so you know it’s really depressing… almost comically depressing! I mean, you can’t really imagine the bad things that happen to these kids. Luckily it isn’t a documentary, and hopefully it isn’t the typical experience of Russian children.

I’m pretty nervous because I have an interview in about 2 1/2 hours with this Americorps organization. It’s a phone interview of course because the organization is over 300 miles away. It’s still in California (San Jose), but I’d have to move and I’m not sure exactly how that would work. I think it sounds really interesting though… planting trees, training volunteers and learning tons about conservation. *sigh* I don’t want to get too into it because I don’t want to get my hopes up… I’ll just do the interview and see how it goes.

I really wish I had someone to talk to. Not that I’m freaking out or something, but it’s nice sometimes to talk to a few different people, you know?

Anyway, it’s almost 11am so I should probably shower, right?

I had the interview, but won’t find out any results until like Monday or Tuesday. I think the interview went okay but I’m not sure… I guess it depends on if I am more awesome than the other people they are interviewing.
