got in a car wreck

So, me and my friend Autumn were driving to my house last night, and we were on county road 36.. we came up to a curve, but we kinda missed it and hit some gravel, and autumn jerked the wheel and we swerved one way, then she jerked it again and we swerved the other way, ran into a ditch and plowed into a tree. Now we hit it pretty hard, so it was quite painful.. luckily, the only injuries we got were from the seatbelts. Lucky us, if we didnt have them on we would have probably went through the windshield, and basically we’d probably be dead. So , thats just to sum everything up.

I remember when it happened, of course it didnt even seem real. After she swerved the 2nd time I just closed my eyes and braced myself, waiting for us to hit something.. i hated that feeling, not knowing what was gonna happen and having the situation be completely out of my hands. So then I felt the van go down and *POW* the front end was wrapped around a tree. I just know that I was jerked forward pretty hard, and all I can think of are those crash test dummies on tv. Then right after we hit, Autumn was in pain, because the seat belt and steering wheel got her, I guess. But I remember looking out the front windshield and seeing the front all crumpled, and smoke was coming out of it.. then all I could think of was how in fort wayne i saw a couple cars blow up.. so basically i told autumn that we had to get out of the van. So we did, and we both kept asking if the other was ok. Her friend drove by,and he ended up calling the cops for us, and some of autumns family came down.. the cops were asking autumn all these questions.. and around then autumns sister let me use her cell phone to call my mom. When she answered, I couldnt think of anything to say,and it was really messed up, so I just started to cry, and all I could think to say was “we hit a tree”. Then everyone wanted me and Autumn to go to the hospital, so we did, and my mom met us there. Poor mom, she kept thinking “what if”.. so I felt bad for that.

Basically, we didnt get hurt that bad, but needless to say, the van wont be running anymore. That was my exciting adventure from yesterday.. other things happened but they dont seem important. I dont like thinking I could be dead! So i guess ill stop writing about it..
