Shaving Your Underarms

ws wondering if there’s a skill or technique to sugarin underarms cause i tried to do that and i only got a bit of hair off…thnx~!! will wax wrk betta?

If you have long underarm hairs, trim them with clippers or scissors. Electric clippers are best for this purpose.

Take a long, warm bath before hand.

Before applying shaving cream, be sure the skin and hair are still moist.

Apply shaving cream a few minutes before shaving to soften hairs. Consider using a shaving cream with additional moisturizers, vitamin E or aloe.

Be sure to use a sharp blade.

When shaving, stroke an area no more than twice to reduce skin irritation.

Be sure to clean the area afterwards with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection. Ideally, give the area a second cleansing using cotton balls and rubbing alcohol, or an after shave lotion.

Some people find daily application of baby powder or talcum powder especially helpful after shaving to keep the area dry and irritation free.

Practice good hygiene after shaving, washing the area at least once a day to reduce sweat and oil build-up.
Go as long as possible between shavings to reduce skin irritation.

Alternatively, you could use Nair or Neet on your underarm areas – it is safe for this area.
 
A few special tips:

People who are allergic and react to some shaving creams should lookfor hypoallergenic creams. This area seems to have heightened sensitivity.

For men, consider just trimming your hair instead. It provides a cleaner look without all the risks!

Letting hair grow out after shaving your underarm area is a nuisance. The sharp hairs combined with the sensitive skin will make you realize just how much movement happens in this area on an average day. Chaffing is nearly unavoidable.
