Safe sex on your period/Drinking why your Pregnant

question: Is it safe to have sex on your period? Without protection and let him cum inside you?

Also: If you were to become pregnant and you are a heavy drinker, and you didn’t know for awhile that you were pregnant, would it be possible that the heavy drinking could force an early miscarriage? [inhale]

I was looking around online and I came to two pages that had this up, so I thought I would post them for your question, since they answer it.

Forget everything you have heard about when pregnancy occurs. According to researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, only about 30 percent of women actually have their fertile period between days 10 and 17 of their menstrual cycle. This adds validity to what many ‘accidentally’ pregnant women, have long suspected.
Researchers found that the potential for fertility exists on almost every day of a woman’s menstrual cycle. Most women in the study were between the ages of 25 and 35–prime reproductive age and the age when menstrual cycles are most regular. The window of fertility was found to be even more unpredictable for teenagers and women approaching menopause.
Few days of the menstrual cycle during which some women are not potentially capable of becoming pregnant– including even the day on which they may expect their next menses to begin.

2nd site.

Sex during your period follows the same logic. You think to yourself, OK – my period serves to flush out the egg, so if I have sex during my period, I can’t get pregnant. Right? Not really. There are a few faults with this logic. First of all, as a teenager, your body isn’t always working like clockwork, which is why the rhythm method isn’t always the best option for teens either. In the same token, you may ovulate during your period, or the period simply may not work to flush out the egg. And, for most of your period, the egg is simply still there!! It does reduce your risk very slightly, but only VERY SLIGHTLY. You should never have sex during your period as a means of birth control.

As for your 2nd question….

Having an alcoholic drink twice weekly doubled the risk of losing normal babies in one study; drinking alcohol every day tripled the risk of such miscarriages. Hope this helps. Take Care!
