Last Shift

OK, about to hop in the shower for my last overnight shift for a while.

So far it’s been a good experience. The stockers, who can’t seem to find shelves for Twiggy and Strange Boy, have not only worked through every piece of freight we brought in the back door the past three nights they’ve made progress on the left-overs from the weekend that Twiggy left for me. Since we were able to do that the day shift folks were able to get everything else worked, and last night (and tonight) we’ll be working with nothing but new freight! Yay!

Of course I’m getting in 6000 cases tonight……….

Anyway, I think we can get it done, but it’s going to be a near thing and the trucks have got to be unloaded and sorted when I get there or it’s going to screw us up. They weren’t done yesterday and it set us back about an hour which seriously brassed me off even though we still got done.

Inventory is coming up and we are so not ready. I’m off the Fri/Sat/Sun, then it’s a seven day stretch for me. I’ve just ordered an eSATA hard drive for my TiVo and expressed it in (it was only an extra three bucks, got to love Amazon Prime) so I’ll have plenty of extra hard drive space and won’t miss anything. I’m already at a point where if I don’t delete something within two or so days after it’s recorded I start to run out of room. Right now it’s threatening not to record "Inuyasha" next week. I miss that when we’re this close to the end and I’m gonna open up a can of good old-fashioned anime whoop-ass on it. Not sure I can manage the Windscar with any of my own swords, but the Iron Reaver Soul-Stealer (or the more poetic Soul-Scattering Iron Claw) move is a cinch, lol. Or I could just throw it out the window…

That’s all for now, I’ve got to jump in the shower and then leave early enough to get something to eat on the way.
