Miami Medical
I really like that show. I’m watching tonight’s episode now, I was watching something else earlier.
One of my friends from high school is up here at her in-laws’ cabin. She’s the same one that stayed at my parents’ place during Thanksgiving. Her in-laws fell in love with the area and came back up in January to buy a place, and they did. They didn’t find anything up where my parents’ place is, they’re down here in my town. I might get to see them tomorrow but I’m not sure.
Even after taking Christmas present money out of my account ahead of time (so I don’t spend it) I should be able to buy my shelves by the end of the year. In October I’m going to start setting some money aside every month to buy a new car. Well, a newer one at any rate. I need something smaller that doesn’t drink gas like the truck does. If I can afford (and they’ve released) and Expedition hybrid I’ll try that because I love having the power and the space, but the projections I saw on the hybrid Expedition were something like 20 MPG City and 22 Hwy, which is better than what I’m getting now but still not spectacular.
My neighbor sent her daughter up with an offering of some sort of Philippine chicken dish, apologizing for the noise and the extra people. I haven’t said a word except for the bit of venting I’ve done here. So either she’s being super nice or I can’t even go out on my balcony without them thinking I’m expressing disapproval (I realize now I never mentioned I stepped out on the balcony last night). Crapola. At least I can still sit on my screened porch all nekkid and junk.
For those of you with iPhones that don’t regularly commune with the PTB’s at Apple, there is a minor problem with how the iPhones, all of them, display signal strength, and there is a patch coming in the next few weeks. They were careful to say that the actual signal strength the phone is detecting hasn’t changed, just the display of the signal strength.
Speaking of, I cannot imagine using an iPhone without a MobileMe account. Seriously, the MobileMe account and the iPhone mesh seamlessly, and if you’re using a Mac it’s even better. Everything I do on my iPhone is almost immediately transferred to MobileMe, and in less than an hour (or as soon as I sign in) it’s all transferred to my Mac. Total coolness.
I really really like the new MK series from Lincoln. Does drooling over a Lincoln mean I’m old now?
I have reluctantly been drawn into Deadliest Catch by the medical drama currently unfolding. I’m not likely to follow it beyond the resolution or the end of the season, whichever comes first. Crabbing just has no draw for me. I did know some guys in high school that were determined that was the career they wanted. Work three months out of twelve and still make $35-$40k per year. Of course most of those guys would have been working construction or something during the off season since they had issues budgeting their lunch money to last the week…
That’s pretty much all I have for now.
