Tired fast one
Almost ready to head off to bed.
Had to finish up balancing the cash room at work before I left, and had to stay over to do it. Well, I mean c’mon, we were only eleven and a half hours late getting it done… And I think getting the room to within 100k is close enough. If they wanted it done right then a)someone should have told be they were in trouble ten hours ago, and b)they’d hire someone to help out in the mornings. Whatever. Sad thing is the manager in charge of that area has no frakking clue what it is I was doing. She helped me count the money in the big safe while I counted the small one, but I’m not entirely certain she did it right. Oh well.
Trouble with my problem area at work. They are going to be the death of me I’m certain.
The visit with AmandaC was good, but it was cut short unnecessarily when I had to take her home so I could get to my cake decorating class on time. Turns out that the class had been canceled and no one bothered to call me. I verified that the number that was written on the registration form was correct and legible, and it was (I didn’t write it, lol). Goobers.
Been having some more dreams, nothing scary though, just weird. And of course now that I’m remembering them nothing erotic either dammit.
I ordered some stuff from Amazon to replace some of my VHS tapes, and I also ordered Space: Above and Beyond The Complete Series on DVD. It was only $20! It’s probably never going to be ported over to BD since it’s so old and even if they shot it on film they probably don’t have the original negatives to do a new transfer from. Also, that show was on when digital editing had just become all the rage, so they probably don’t have any of the film stock left at all. It probably got trashed after the show aired.
A show I would love to see on BD though is Babylon 5. I would almost bet my truck JMS saved all the original negatives and film stock, and it wouldn’t surprise me to find that he had a final (pre-effects) cut of each episode on film. Not transferred back from the digital, but actually cut and spliced from the film stock. That would make excellent source material for a BD transfer.
Anyone hear about the brouhaha over in South Carolina? Seems the Democrats don’t know anything about the guy they’ve selected in their own Senate primary. Sillies. There’s probably some screwiness going on somewhere: the filing fee is something like eight or ten thousand dollars and the guy is an unemployed veteran (possibly other than honorably discharged) facing felony charges for indecent exposure so where’d he come up with it? And if it was his own money why throw that much into a campaign that he didn’t even really have? I don’t think he so much as printed a single flier or yard sign. Oh well, not my problem, I just think it’s funny. The guy’s name is Alvin Greene if you want to Google it.
Good night!
