Madder than heck!
I normally try to stay out of big news stories that don’t directly impact me since this is where a lot of people, myself included, come to get away from the big stuff and try to be interested in people. This, however, really ticks me off and I had to bring it up:
Randy Prescott, BP Representative: “Louisiana isn’t the only place that has shrimp.”
Let’s all give him a call his office [(713) 323-4093] or send an e-mail to randy.prescott@bp.com. Let’s remind him that BP isn’t the only place that has gas for our cars! Idiot.

*blink* It’s like they aren’t even considering the overall global effect this is going to cause long term. This oil, as it sits on the (and in) the water, spreading is going to cause temperature inversion in the water, warming it. This will not only cause the water levels to rise, screw with all manner of creatures that depend upon ice flows and have EVOLVED to the waters normal temps, it can also cause the actual ocean currents to change. This is more than just wasted oil & some dead water creatures. This is a global environmental disaster that we will feel if it doesn’t get dealt with poste haste.
