First day back

And it pretty much sucked.

One of my departments that *has to have* two openers due to the large number of time-specific tasks that have to be completed had only had one all week. I was taken to task and told I need to fix my schedules. Did a little bit of digging (about two minutes worth) and asked what happened to employee X. I was told she was moved to another department by the Facility Manager. I told them the schedules were correct when they were posted a month ago, and if this person hadn’t been moved there wouldn’t be a problem. In other words, bitch to the Facility Manager about it, not me.

We had end of month inventory on the last day I worked prior to vacation, and once again my problem department royally screwed up their numbers. Somehow I doubt they *actually* had a 99% profit for the month. Idiots. The biggest problem there is the hourly manager shouldn’t even be an hourly manager, but Senior Manager Who Shouidn’t Be twisted the system in knots and went to regional over it to make her an "exception promotion" when all the pre-screening we have in place said she wasn’t ready. I’ve done what I could, but this is the fourth or fifth month in a row they’ve frakked up their inventory and I’m sick of it. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS COUNT THE DAMN BOXES! It’s not that hard. Seriously.

Mego was found guilty in court. There are four cameras in that room, the dip. I didn’t see the presentation but I hear it was very well done. And it was a felony conviction too so he’s totally screwed now. Even if he gets a suspended sentence plus probation he’s going to have a very very hard time finding a job with a felony conviction for theft on his record. Moron. You’d think he would have known better.

Oh well.
