Doing pretty well today

Carried eight bags of crap out to the dump then ran to town for lunch. That hurt my back some, not sure if it was the lifting and throwing of the trash or the thirty or so minutes I spent in truck. I’m going to have to check and see if the driver’s seat had an adjustable lumbar support; I’ve never needed it before so I really don’t know.

Exchanged texts with Critter today. I think she was off but I’m not sure, it never came up. She’s kinda bummed because there’s something wrong with her Internet access at the house. It’s a problem on the provider end, so there’s nothing I can do to help. Not sure if she’s had a chance to call them yet or not.

Got hit with an overwhelming wave of depression and loneliness last night around 2330. I tried to shake it by myself for a bit, then I sent Critter a text asking if she was up. She was, and for once OtherGuy was up with her. She asked me what was up and I told her I was just really bummed, but I didn’t want to mess up couple time, so she never sent me anything back. I can understand, and if I’d insisted she’d have kept up the conversation, but by not responding it made the loneliness worse. Doing OK today though, I think it’s just me being hurt and my mobility being less than what I’m used to.

My landlord told me today I need to start paying my rent in cash. It seems no one wanted to cash the money order, not even the place I bought it. WTF? Even his bank wouldn’t cash it for him. I’m not sure if he tried to deposit it and they refused it or if he just tried to cash it. And since either the banking industry or the Imperial Federal Government put in place a regulation ten or more years ago limiting how much I can get out of an ATM every day (allegedly for my own protection, in case I’m being robbed) I have to make several withdrawals, and once I do that a few months in a row my own bank is going to start asking questions, which sucks. I’d just arrange to get an actual check for some of the money and cash that at work, but we no longer have that option; we’ve gone to a totally electronic payroll system where if you don’t have a bank account you get a pre-paid Visa. Yay.
