Down for a bit

OK, this is it before I take the network down and pack everything up for he move.

I banged my thumb up rather badly when I was fastening the box spring to the truck. I went to throw the strap end over the box spring and missed, plowed right into the corner of the damn thing. Ouch. Seriously. That was six hours ago and it still hurts like hell. I can still move it a bit though, so I think it’s just badly bruised and not dislocated, which would suck. It was really stiff when I started taking the entertainment electronics apart but it’s loosened up some now.

I had to put down a freakin’ huge deposit on the electric: $295. Ouch. I really wish it had been Southern Company (may it live forever) servicing that area but it’s a local co-op. I don’t have anything against co-ops in general or this one in particular, but since they have such a small client base compered to the giants their "high-risk/high-deposit" threshold is *way* lower. I think I had to put down a $50 deposit last time I started up service with Georgia Power, and my credit should have gotten better since then.

Had a naughty dream about Belle a few nights back. That was nifty. Might summarize later, probably not.

It’s Critter’s birthday today. Her present is going to have to wait until I get paid now that I’ve been robbed by the electric company, but she’ll understand. I wonder if OtherGuy will even remember…I think he forgot last year.

OK, got to go and shut everything down and pack it up. I’ll put up pictures as soon as I take them and get settled in a little. I was debating donating the red couch but I might keep it now, I’m not sure. I’ll have to see what the room looks like with the white one in it first and see if there’s room for both.
