Rain in the forecast

Figures. I checked yesterday (and again a few minutes ago) and there is suddenly rain in the forecast for Thursday night. Bugger it, I’m getting my extra sleep. I think my folks have some tarps up at their place that I can borrow, and I’ll use those to wrap the mattress and box spring. I plan to out the matress on first, strap it down, and then put the box spring on an strap it independently of the matress. It should be more secure that way and distribute the wind load more evenly. Of course, I’m allowing myself thirty minutes to drive eight miles, so how much wind load is there gonna be, right?

Work is going much more smoothly today. We got a lot of new freight in last night but we are only getting eight hundred new cases in tonight and I hope to get that on the shelves before the overnighters get in so they can clean up the mess they’ve let build up.
