Blech and double blech
That about sums it up.
I got the application for the apartment filled out and mailed back to the guy. I also had to send a money order for $19.99 for a background check. He’s probably using an Internet site rather than a more traditional agency. Good luck with that, I was seriously off the grid for a long time…
Ember’s birthday party is tonight. I’m not sure yet if I’m going or not. It’s at a club, and I don’t normally do that kind of thing. I can’t drink, both due to my meds and the fact that it’s a two-hour drive from where I live. It would mean a lot to her though if I came. I don’t know.
Critter is visiting with K and her father tonight, he’s moving to Tennessee and taking K with him for a bit. It had better just be for a bit. I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him, but he swears it’s just for a visit. I’d hate to have to track him down and go to the trouble of making whatever happened look like an accident. I meant to ask Critter if K was alright with going with him, since she’s not been wanting to go to his place for the weekend even. And of course Critter will have to go and get her when it’s time for her to come back because the car he bought two years ago is dead (and he’s still making payments) and the truck he bought with the tax money he was supposed to give to Critter died a few weeks ago. I’m thinking it would have been better to take the tax money and fix the car he still owes on rather than buying another one, but what do I know?
Katamari Forever is really fun, but it’s been summoning forth from the depths of my being a stream of profanity the likes of which the world has never known. The Dualshock 3 controller I just bought (so I’d have two for all my consoles) is a lot more sensitive than the Dualshock 2 controllers I learned to play the original version with, so it’s not doing what I want it to do. For example, to do a fast turn, you press down on the L3 and R3 buttons at the same time. To go straight you press both joysticks forward at the same time. I keep jumping around in circles because I’m pressing down as much as I’m pressing forward and it’s hard to get used to. It’d probably be funny to watch if I wasn’t so wrapped up in the game…
