“Public” blog

I think I’ve decided to go with a sanitized version of what I put up here for my public blog. I’ll be using iWeb on my Mac. So far I’ve only gotten January of this year copied over but it looks good. I’m having problems getting my domain name to point at anything but the "Under Construction" page Network Solutions uses. I’ve followed the MobileMe instructions for setting up a CNAME alias (I did that months ago) but for some reason it isn’t doing it. I made one more change, and I’ll check back on it tomorrow night to give it the full twenty-four hours to update.

Chatting with Carla on Facebook and on our phones. Facebook keeps dumping her off. It seems she just installed a Windows update and it’s giving her fits. Poor thing. I always hated that. I remember more than one time I downloaded a patch on one night and then the next night had to download a patch to fix the stuff the first patch broke while it was fixing the original problem. Yuck.

I have a terrible headache right now, and I don’t know why. I’ve been out, I’ve had caffeine, I’ve eaten, I don’t know what’s left. It’s in a common place for me, mostly at the front of my head but a little around the whole thing, about where a hat would sit. And tonight there’s some pain in my upper neck too. I don’t know if it’s tension or if my brain’s about to explode…either way I wish it would go away.

Had a bit of a strange thing happen earlier when I went into town to check on Dirty Girl. I stopped to get some bread an mayonnaise for sandwiches since I was out, and I also stopped in and said hi to Critter. She asked what I was doing in town so late, and I told her I was going to check on Dirty Girl to make sure she was ok. She replied with a quick, sharp "WHY?" that raised more eyebrows than just mine. She told me Dirty Girl was doing just fine, she’d sent OtherGuy a friend request on Facebook earlier in the week and I didn’t *need* to check on her. Hmmm. I know she really doesn’t like Dirty Girl, but that just seemed a little too aggressive to me. Any thoughts?

That’s all I’ve got for now, this headache is really wearing me out. I might not even be able to stay up and watch Defying Gravity tonight…
