Quick one

Sorry I’ve been gone for so long. I know I need to write, I’ve got stuff to say, I just don’t know how to say it or have the energy to put it on the screen.

Spend several hours with Critter & the kids today. I took ’em all to lunch at the local Mexican buffet. It seems D doesn’t like Mexican and for some reason kept expecting us to take him to the Pizza Buffet when we were done. Um, no. K was SOOOOO happy to see me! I just picked her up and squeezed her. I told her I loved her and I missed her. When Critter and I went out on the porch so she could smoke K came out after a few minutes and climbed up in my lap. She told us that her daddy said ToyMan doesn’t love her. Critter told her not to listen to her daddy. Go Critter!

All three of the kids wanted to come to my house as soon as I got over to Critter’s. Apparently my house is "exciting" and theirs is "boring" since all they have to do over there is watch DVD’s, play the Wii and browse the Internet. Of course when they got here B went straight for the desktop and opened up Firefox, D went straight for the Wii, and K wanted to watch Hannah DVD’s in my room. Yep, my place is *way* better than Critter’s.

After I dropped them back at their place K wanted to come back with me. She wanted to stay the night. She was highly perturbed she had to go meet OtherGuy’s grandparents who are in town for the weekend. My number is in D & B’s phone, and I told K anytime she wanted to talk to me she could. I really wish I knew what I have done to inspire such love from a two-year-old. I want to make sure I do it the same way when I have my own.

Got a haircut today. It was desperately needed.

Critter got a sample of the ADHD meds I take and she was little miss pay attention all day long! The only problem is she can’t afford the stuff I take since there’s no generic of it yet. But now that she knows she reacts well to the stimulant based ADHD meds she and her doctor can look for something affordable. There may be some depression and anxiety issues underlying like there were with me, but we both think getting the ADHD treated first is the way to go for her.

Neighbor E got pilled up and left something on her oven. It didn’t catch fire but it filled her place with smoke. I heard the smoke alarm from down in my apartment and went up to check on her. Of course I didn’t know she was pilled up because she was exibiting the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and she’d just come out of a smoke-filled apartment. She was not a happy camper when she found out I’d called EMS. Made me call ’em back and tell them she didn’t want treatment. It wasn’t until  a few hours later when the cops and Neighbor B were trying to get her to come to the door that I found out it probably *wasn’t* carbon monoxide or smoke inhalation that made her loopy. Seems she’s done this before.

That’s pretty well it for now. It’s off to bed for me. The Georgia Sales Tax Holiday on Back to School items (school supplies, computers, some clothing) starts tomorrow (in twenty minutes actually) and I have to work all four days. Yay me.

I’ve got next Wednesday and Thursday off, so if she still wants to (and it’s convenient for Critter too) I’ll see if K can spend the night next Tuesday night. I’m still not sure why she wants to though, and I guess if D & B want to stay too I don’t have  problem with that. So far though K is the only one who’s asked about it.

I don’t know why I worry about anything you do with Critter and her kids. You know the situation way better than I do! I just hope you are not being used or led on and still hope Critter will change her mind about you. It does not seem like she will if she hasn’t yet. But what do I know? We don’t even know each other! You just seem like a great guy. I hope you find what you are looking for.
