[M] Crazy day at work

So far today has been nuts. I had to stop, turn around, and head back to my old store after I’d gotten about a third of the way to work. We needed more bailing wire, and the warehouse seems incapable of sending us any.

Mego is taking a leave. Right after his vacation and during a holiday week. Convenient. I asked if his father had died (he has heart problems and had a heart attack just six weeks ago) and was told "no" in a tone that suggested the actual reason was only marginally legit.

Senior Manager Who Shouldn’t be is trying to "adjust" the schedules for coverage on the days he was supposed to close. I think she was going to try to make me work tomorrow but that would have had all the upper managers opening and two assistants closing in addition to the two assistants opening. She manned up and changed her own schedlue to closing, though. I’m a little impressed. Gotta go, lunch almost over.
