Kinda boring day

For me anyway. Neighbor E managed to lock herself out of her Jeep and apartment at the same time this morning. Ding-a-ling. Our landlord sent his handyman up from the next town to the south of us to bring her a spare key to the apartment. I was thinking, due to his notorious cheapness, my key might have worked her door, but she has a Schlage lock set on hers. I’m jealous, that’s a good lock. The rest of the house is standard Kwikset locks that a two-year-old can jimmy. Schlage isn’t burglar-proof, but it is a higher grade of security than the basic locks most homes come with. Medeco, however. That’s some serious locks there.

So I spent an hour or so this morning talking to Neighbor E on the porch. It was nice and breezy, but it was warm in the sunlight, which I tried studiously to avoid still being a bit tender and all. She’s getting her new A/C set up today. She’s moving the one from her bedroom to the front room since it doesn’t have insulated expansion panels on the sides and it’ll be easier to custom fit something in the living room. She’s got another unit with the expansion panels she’ll be putting in the bedroom.

Hoping to have lunch with Nala sometime next week. There’s a family friend I’m also trying to set lunch up with, and I’m having lunch with Critter on Saturday. Busy week for me.

I saw Critter for a bit when I was in town. She said K has been telling her constantly, "I love ToyMan," and "Mama, go see ToyMan," but she didn’t want to say anything to me before since I needed time alone.

Neighbor E just locked herself out of her Jeep again, and this time the spare keys for the Jeep are actually *in* the Jeep. Way to go! I just wish all these strange people up here would leave so I can take my clothes off. It’s weird wearing them for so long at home. I need to buy this place, the two other houses up this end of the road and the two at the bottom of the hill and turn the whole little area into a clothing optional community. I could still rent some of the apartments in this house. Hell, I could rent the whole place out and live in one of the others that’s closer to the lake. Of course I don’t have the several million dollars in cash or credit available to me to make the purchases so it really doesn’t matter does it?

Going to go now. There’s some more drama out on the front lawn/driveway, it should be fun to watch.
