Conundrum…

No, I haven’t just Back Stepped (and couldn’t tell you if I had sillies) but I do have a bit of one. A conundrum that is.

Do I buy a smaller dryer than the one I want, which is big enough to dry my comforters, planning ahead for when I can afford a washing machine that can wash them, or do I buy a smaller one to match the capacity of my washer and spend the extra money on a better TiVo box?

Hmmm. Decisions. Of course the dryer I had planned on buying is not the one I really *want* but the one I want is almost $2000 and I’m not spending my whole bonus on a dryer. However the one I had planned on buying had the same capacity as the one I wanted and only cost $500, so I wouldn’t have to immediately buy the matching dryer when I do buy the washer since my drying capacity would match my washing capacity. I may very well end up buying the smaller dryer. I’m silly that way. Ok, not so much silly as tired of planning everything out three, five, and ten years in advance, denying myself some satisfaction now so I can have a really excellent future since my plans always seem to blow up.

The curious thing is, and I swear I didn’t notice this until after I’d started typing, is I have a little time to make the decision since I don’t have the money right now. It seems I’ve got, you guessed it, Seven Days…

Only the sci-fi geeks are gonna understand but they’re laughing their asses off right now, trust me.
