Back from the Expotition
Yeah, like I wasn’t gonna…
In case anyone is wondering I didn’t see any jagulars or woozles, sorry.
Got the tags renewed, mine was exactly sixty dollars, go figure. I was totally pulling numbers out of the air for that one. In Georgia part of the tag fee is a property tax on the depreciated value of the vehicle so it changes from year to year. They don’t take actual mileage into account, just the average, so my truck is probably worth a lot less than they think it is. I mailed my dad’s off to him so everything is cool.
I got my comforter washed, rinsed, rinsed again, and into the dryer, then I left. I got my mail too. I got another electronics catalog chock full of stuff I have absolutely no use for but it’s all really cool and I have to buy it. Good thing I have no extra money right now. In fact, if my landlord is staying up here this weekend to work on one of the apartments then I’m in trouble because if he deposits the rent check on Monday while the banks are open it’ll clear before I get paid. My bank will still pay it, but they’ll charge me an extra thirty bucks that I really can’t afford to give them right now. If he or his wife drive up here it’ll probably be well after the banks close on Monday or maybe even Tuesday afternoon before the deposits get made and then I’ll be golden.
Talked to Ember some. We had a text-a-thon last night too. We haven’t done that in a long time. It was a really good conversation, something else we haven’t had in a long time. You’d be surprised at the things we talk about with each other when given the opportunity, but it’s always fun.
One of my fave’s popped back up today. She’s been really busy IRL and hasn’t journaled for almost a month.
I think my finances are about to be back on track, my latest little shortfall with the rent aside. I’ve been having a few problems since some unexpected stuff popped up to the tune of $300/month for the past four or five months, but that’s all taken care of now. I’m just glad I had the money coming in (if only barely) or I’d have been up a creek. With the way I was spending money on stuff like DVDs, BDs (the short form of Blu-ray Disc), stuff to make me feel better about taking care of the kids (crayons, the carseat, a backseat mirror, etc.), and the almost weekly lunches with Critter and K I’m really surprised I didn’t run into trouble before. I guess all that was running me a lot less money than I thought it was. Not that I cared, but now that I’ve *got* a number that lets me know when too much is too much and I know I never reached it I feel better. I was a little worried I was frittering my money away like water but I must not have been.
Now I’m off to work away at my latest trip through Kingdom Hearts II. Oh yeah, does anyone here know how to beat Sephiroth in the duel? I’ve got Sora leveld up to level sixty-one on the "normal" setting and I still get killed in just two hits. If I weren’t leveled up so high I wouldn’t get the second hit because each one of his blows that lands takes me for around 90% of my HP.
That’s all I got.
What about hefalumps? LOL
