No Alaska and No Atlanta for the ToyMan

Got the automatic e-mails last night saying that I didn’t get the store by Ember or the store in Alaska. I’m a little surprised I didn’t even get an interview for Atlanta, but I’m royally peeved at the store in Alaska. They re-posted the job three times after they interviewed me, but didn’t close out the opening until Friday, two weeks after they had obviously made a decision. It’s like they wanted to keep the option of hiring me open just in case they couldn’t find anyone better. Screw that. I told AlaskaMan if he needed a manager at my level I’d consider moving up there again but the rest of the state can kiss my rumpus. It’s just unprofessional to treat someone like that, and they had to have known I’d see the openings because I saw the first one.

Whatever.

So I’m stuck where I am for now, none of the openings in the system looked interesting. There was a store looking for managers down where I used to live, but across the bay. I’ve been in that store, and it’s a nice store, but it’s a beach store, and those have all kinds of special problems all their own.

Like what to do with the beach stuff you didn’t sell before Labor Day ’cause there ain’t nobody to buy it after, trust me.

Really tired, going to bed.

Sorry they did not work out. Something else is coming up for you even better, I bet!

What a bummer! I know you were looking forward to a change. Maybe you should try Colorado. Things are still growing out here despite the downturn in the economy.

Sorry to hear about that, Toyman. Maybe there is something bigger and better around the bend. It does suck how they went about it, reposting it and all… HUGS! ~L
