Quickie [Edit]

The viewing/funeral/wake is later today. I’ll have more after.

Had lunch with Critter on Wednesday, she’s really upset. There’s a lot of anger there too, more than what I was prepared for. It’s perfectly understandable though. She’s been out of touch since then. I called and left her a message checking on her and it went straight to voice-mail. I called about eight hours later with the arrangements and it went straight to voice-mail again. That tells me her phone was probably turned off, which is a little strange for her since it’s sometimes easier for her communicate with text messages than voice, and AT&T still hasn’t bothered to find a way to store and forward text and multimedia messages directed to you while your phone is off. Goobers.

I offered her a ride to and from the service, but I haven’t heard back on that yet. I thought his family lived in the next town south of here on the highway and would have the arrangements made there, but they actually live here in the same town, it’s just a ways out from the main area. Anyway, i was trying to save her some gas and a thirty-minute trip in the heat with no A/C, but that’s not really a factor anymore so I may not see her until the service.

Just got off the phone with Critter. She’s going to ride to the service with some folks from work.
