Longer entry ’cause I’m more awake

No more news on S-Dawg so far. My headache has gone away for the most part. I can’t believe that after being so sleepy when I finished my last entry (around 0400) and then taking two sleeping pills and heading to bed I woke up again at 0635. At first I was wondering why my alarm hadn’t gone off (I thought it was 1835) but then when I woke up a little more I realized I had only been asleep for two hours and not the fourteen I first thought. Bummer. I managed to fight my way back to sleep though.

One of the funny things about yesterday is that she called again around 1800 (the first call was around 1330) to let me know she hadn’t forgotten about me and was going to call me but she was still running around and had to go. That call made me even more excited than the last one, and I don’t know why.

There was a pelican in the area yesterday, it being brown and freaking huge (for a bird) I’m thinking it was a brown pelican (P. occidentalis). It’s wings looked to be about six feet across so that would fit. As it banked slowly by my window the first time I was like “what the F***!” and my first impression was that a small pterosaur had just glided by. Yes, I know they’re extinct and no I haven’t been watching Jurassic Park, but a bird with a six-foot wing span is not something you see everyday here in the mountains. Truthfully, if I hadn’t grown up in Pensacola, FL I don’t know if I’d have been able to figure it out. After I ruled out the extinct species I figured it was a pelican or a stork, and finally saw it again as I was returning from town and got a better look at it. I’m just trying to figure out what it was doing here in the mountains so very far from the coast where it belongs. I haven’t seen it since I got that last good look at it, so I don’t know where it is now.

Something I forgot to mention was K’s dad seems to think I’m just hanging around Critter for the sex. And if we were actually having sex I can see why he’d make that argument. He seems to be confusing me with, well, himself. He keeps expecting Critter to have sex with him just because he watches the kids for her sometimes. Whatever. He’s an ass. She needs to get him to start paying child support but she can’t afford to start the process, which seems strange to me. You’d think that the state would just start the investigation at her request and then add the admin costs they incur to his child support bill, or if she’s wrong, collect the money from her afterwards, but they don’t.
