Step away from the PS2…
I can’t be trusted with a PS/2. Honestly I can’t. I’ve played way too much Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II this week, but I finally decided that if I take the game out of the console instead of just turning the thing off I might be able to refrain from playing for a while. And I’ve put the game (in it’s case) on the bookshelf where it belongs.
I’m thinking I’m gonna buy a PS/3 when I get the money. I might have already pointed this out but they are about the same price as a regular Blu-Ray player and you get the game play functions on top of that. Add to that the new DualShock 3 controllers and I really don’t have any excuse anymore. I do kind of want a Wii though. Speaking of which, I’m getting a Wii sensor bar for my entertainment center. I’ll probably end up buying it (they’re only $15) but Critter said she would if she got really desperate to bring the Wii over. That way she can bring the Wii over here when she wants to without having to pry her bar off the television. And we might be able to calibrate it at my place and then tell the console where it is and let it switch back and forth so we don’t have to re-calibrate the sensor bar every time she moves the console. I’ve got a network switch with open ports in my entertainment center and I’ve got a wireless network as well so we can get the software updates while she’s over here. She doesn’t have Internet access at her place.
I’ve got an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to check on me and get a renewal for my ADHD meds. I’m trying to get in touch with Critter to see if she wants to go to that Mexican place I was telling her about for lunch tomorrow instead of dinner Friday, which was the tentative plan. It hinged on getting her car out of the shop and where the kids were going to be (I don’t mind taking them but I’m a little strapped right now). Well she got her car back and the kids are at their grandmother’s so unless she’s already got plans (which she might, I left this really late) then we may be able to do it tomorrow and save huge on the gas since we pretty much have to go past my doctor’s office to get to the restaurant and it’s in the next town up.
I’m going to see if I can get in touch with Ember and see how she’s doing, I haven’t talked to her in a few days.
