Got a new phone!

My phone call never came. I called them around 15:00 to see what was going on and the first person I called I got voicemail. I called his assistant and got voicemail. I called one other person and got voicemail. What the hell? And each message told me to call one of the other two, isn’t that just cute?

I went ahead and got a new phone today. Actually AT&T got my money but all I got was a new SIM. The phone I wanted is a special order for up here; apparently smart phones don’t sell very well up here in the mountains. It’s a Treo 680 Crimson (except mine’s new and I didn’t pay nearly that much) and I’m going to absolutely love it, I know it. It doesn’t have a protruding antenna like my 650 does so that’s already a better design. I tend to use the antenna on my current phone to pull it out of the holster so it’s a little loose. I know, that’s my fault, but still. It uses an updated Palm OS and has all the features that I want so yay!

Talked to Critter some today but didn’t see her. We had discussed spending some more time together but I think she got busy with other things so there were just a couple of phone calls and a few text messages.

Had lunch with Ember and Rah-Rah today and somehow I ended up paying for it, not exactly sure how that happened. It was cool though, we ate at a Chinese buffet and it wasn’t that much. It was about the same as my lunch with Critter yesterday. They’re both excited about the girl party they are hosting next week. Ember said I could help decorate but I had to be out of the building by 1900 because that’s when the “dirty stuff” starts. Her words. They’ve also got something else brewing too but I don’t know what it is. All I know is they are not going to be in town for Ember’s birthday .

I had dinner with the parents tonight. They left the key to their Georgia P.O. Box in Seattle at the airport so I had to drive up there so they could get their mail with my copy of the key. We ate at a really good Italian place. I had the regular strombli and I brought most of it back home.

Just heard a big boom and went outside to see what it was and I have no idea. There are no clouds for thunder and no fire for an explosion. Ember didn’t hear anything in town and suggested a gunshot, but it was too deep and loud for even a shotgun, and I don’t think civilians can legally own howitzers in the state of Georgia so I have no idea what it was unless there’s a bear on the roof. I’ve already checked, and I’m the only one of the five people that live in the building that’s home, so it wasn’t a noisy neighbor. My spidey sense isn’t screaming at me to leave (and it did that earlier in the week, so I did) so I’m just going to post this and see what the magical TiVo has saved for me today.
